Play Yatzy™ online with random players or with family and friends.
In the later stages of the game, adapt your strategy based on the remaining categories and your current scores. Prioritize categories where you still have a chance to score high and be prepared to take calculated risks to either secure the upper section bonus or complete a difficult category like Yatzy.
Aim to score at least 63 points in the upper section (ones, twos, threes, fours, fives, and sixes) to get the 35-point bonus. This usually requires averaging three of each number (e.g., three 1s, three 2s, etc.). If you can exceed this average on some numbers, it provides a cushion for lower rolls on others.
When you roll lower numbers or get less desirable results, be flexible in your strategy. Use these rolls to fill in lower-scoring categories that you might not want to waste higher rolls on, like Chance or small sets of numbers.
Keep the Chance category open as a fallback for poor rolls. This category can be used to score a decent amount when you don't have a clear path to a high-value category or when you need to discard a low roll.
Be strategic about re-rolling dice. If you have a decent partial roll towards a high-value category (like four of a kind or a small straight), it's often better to keep those dice and re-roll the others to maximize your chances of completing the category.
Focus on filling in high-scoring categories early in the game when you have more opportunities to roll the necessary numbers. For example, prioritize Yatzy, Large Straight, and Full House when the game begins, as they can be harder to achieve later.
